In 1993 the town of Pattonsburg, MO, flooded two times in three weeks. After the second flood, the town decided to rebuild about 3 miles towards the I-35, on higher ground. Google Old Pattonsburg, for some interesting articles and photo's. Not all residents relocated some chose to ride the flood, and rebuild.
